Stonewall welcomes journalist, author, and global LGBTQ+ storyteller J. Lester Feder for an illuminating reading and conversation exploring the lives, conflicts, and queer histories at the heart of his work. Known for reporting that spans continents and centers voices often left out of mainstream narratives, Feder brings a rare blend of investigative depth and human intimacy to his storytelling. This special event offers an engaging look at the stories behind his reporting, the communities that shaped them, and the power of documenting queer experience across borders.
ON DISPLAY April 17th – May 15th Stonewall, 1300 East Sunrise Blvd., Fort Lauderdale
The exhibition shines a long‑overdue light on Baron Friedrich Wilhelm von Steuben, the brilliant military strategist whose training transformed the Continental Army and helped secure America’s independence. Though history often obscures it, von Steuben was a gay man whose life and legacy were shaped by the queer networks that supported him.
