Musician June Millington – Reception and Meet & Greet

March 13 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Free to attend, with a suggested donation of $10 (more if you can, less if you can’t). All donations will go toward June’s sister Jean Millington’s stroke recovery fund.

Honoring Women’s History Month – Meet & greet musician and author June Millington as she donates an item from her accomplished career in womyn’s music to the Stonewall National Archives.

June Millington has been empowering women throughout her music career, from her days as a founding member of Fanny, the first all-female rock band to chart in the mainstream music industry, to her pioneering work in women’s music, to her co-founding of The Institute for the Musical Arts (IMA). June Millington has worked to empower women and girls, especially women of color, in their pursuit of careers in the field of music, she is a true icon.

A reading reading from her autobiography “Land of a Thousand Bridges” and performance by June Millington will take place the following evening on Thursday, March 14 at 6:30 pm at the Center for Spiritual Living.
